Home Protection Service, in Las Vegas, is a scam.  I worked for the company for 6 days, after a 3 day training.  I didn't sell anyone, anything, because I figured out about the company, just in time.  The supposed names of the managers were, "Roland Gilbert," "Tammy Mitchell," "Oliver Toliver."  The owner of the company listed on the City of Las Vegas website, was Jeremiah Davis, who also showed up as the owner of two other companies with revoked business licenses, and one other company with an active license, Premier Mortgage Auditing, Inc.

At approximately 3:50pm, Feb 12th 2010, Las Vegas time:

I went into "work" to pick up my last paycheck, and brought my camera, in case this company tries to disappear and scam people again.  I knocked on the office door, and before I could finishing clicking my first picture, "Roland Gilbert" and "Oliver Toliver," rushed me.

"Roland" stopped "Oliver" from attacking me, and then pushed me out of the room, trying to grab my camera.  As I was pushed away, I backed away and tried to get a clear picture.  At that point, I was assaulted by "Roland" who grabbed me by the shirt and neck, ripping my shirt, and pushing me up against the hallway wall.

I immediately started yelling, "Assault!  Help!"  He let me go, and shortly after, a couple of employees came out to see what was happening.  As soon as I was released, I fled to the lobby and asked the secretaries to call 911.  They refused, and said I had to call myself, which I did at exactly 4pm.

Just after speaking with police dispatch, the fire alarms went off in the building, because the two men, "Roland" and "Oliver" left though one of the emergency exits.  I immediately ran to the back to the building and started filming their vehicle and license plate.  "Roland" was wearing a wool trench coat and business attire, and "Oliver" was wearing business attire, with no coat at all.  They both got into a Silver Dodge Durango, California license plate number 5BME978.  It had a plastic license border that said "www.magicautocenter.com".  It also had a circle-Obama campaign sticker between the license plate and the left turn signal housing.

The police came and I filed the assault report.  I had a torn shirt and some red marks on my neck.

My guess is that these guys will disappear back to California, before the night is through, and they won't be heard from again.  I can easily identify "Roland Gilbert" as I've spent many hours with him, and have pictures of him.  Both I and the other employees could identify any of the three, if we saw them again.

My guess is that these people are wanted for other crimes.

I have since seen a short TV news program about Home Protection Service, but so far, no arrests have been made.

Please contact me with any questions you have if you are a victim or law enforcement agency.
